HENRIETTA, here’s a brutal fact: Not enough Americans vote.

In the past 20 years, the amount of eligible voters who cast their ballots in our Presidential elections has rarely eked over 60%.

A major reason why so few Americans vote is because Election Day is always on a Tuesday -- and many Americans can’t get time off work to vote.

That’s why President Obama supports making Election Day a National Holiday, so that EVERY eligible American voter could exercise their right to vote.

Sign if you agree with President Obama that Election Day should be a national Holiday:

"We are the only advanced democracy that makes it deliberately difficult for people to vote," President Obama remarked. With Election Day always in the middle of a workweek, millions of Americans have to miss work in order to vote.

Overall low voter turnout hits traditionally progressive voters the hardest -- young people, minorities, and low-income Americans all struggle to take time off to vote.

That’s just WRONG. No one should have to choose between providing for their family and casting a ballot.

But we need to know where YOU stand on this critical issue. Sign now if you agree: Election Day should be a national holiday.
